Update South Africa 07-11-22
Good morning, South African chiropractors. My name is Bharon Hoag. I am the Executive Director of OneChiropractic. The Chiropractic Defense Council is a project of our organization. And I’m excited to come to you today, Monday, July 11th, 2022 for your weekly update. First and foremost. Thank you so much for giving me a week off. I had a great time with my family digging in doing some work fellowship, networking, fundraising, doing that kind of stuff. So it was a good week. And I appreciate you giving me that time. Really, nothing new to update in South Africa at the moment worldwide though. However, we have some positive things happening in Australia. We’re starting to see the rains getting loose and they have opened the borders where non-vaccinated individuals can come into the country. So I will be taking a trip to Australia and New Zealand meeting with our people there, networking, getting to know some of our legal team and that kind of stuff.
So that is exciting news. However, we’re starting to see a little bit of a shift. We’re not sure exactly what’s going on. We’re not sure if it’s an economic move or what’s happening across the world, but we’re very aware of things that are shifting and moving and wondering what’s going to be happening as we near the end of the year. So just know that we’re watching. At this point, we don’t know of anything that’s going to be affecting South Africa, but we do have our eyes and ears open as we’re working in new countries. We’re in Indonesia now. And, we’re learning about different things shifting and moving. If you recall over the last few weeks, I’ve been sharing with you that we want to be a resource for you. So if there are things that you have questions about or issues within South Africa that maybe you just don’t understand or don’t know, or don’t have the resources to figure out, please reach out to us.
We want to make sure that we get you the information you need. Remember our purpose within the project of the CDC is to protect the rights of practicing chiropractors. And we want to make sure that we’re doing that. If you feel in any way that you’re not able to practice or speak or market or do the things that you need to do within your practice, we wanted to look into that and make sure that we can help figure out how to get that done. So just know that we’re a resource for you. We hope that you had a great couple of weeks. We want you to go into this week again with a renewed purpose of loving and serving by telling the story of chiropractic giving the freedom of knowledge. Right? Knowledge is power. I mean, there’s a responsibility, but there’s power in knowing the truth about how our bodies were created, how they function, and how they work, especially in the area of health and sickness. And there’s a place for our message, but we need to be willing to speak it.
So I hope that you’ll do that this week, and know that we love and appreciate you.
