OneChiropractic Official Newsletter
Dear Reader,
Welcome to our first official newsletter of 2025.
What a year it has been so far. Your dollars are hard at work as OneChiropractic is making waves across the world, from British Columbia, Canada where we are doubling down on our fight to remove the dangerous x-ray policy, to Australia where we are winning the censorship restriction for chiropractors to the United States where we are working with 13 state associations to protect chiropractors who are being regulated by other licensing boards.
We go where you need us in the fight for freedom of our profession. We are excited to update you on how we are assisting your colleagues across the globe so that the battles they are facing today do not show up on your doorstep tomorrow.
We are ONE profession and we are excited to protect it!
Yours in advocacy and wellness,

Gratitude & Growth:
Thank You to Our Corporate Sponsors!

Animal Chiropractic
In California, two chiropractors have spent almost a decade fighting to improve animal chiropractic laws in one of many West Coast states that require Doctors of Chiropractic to work under the direct supervision of a veterinarian when adjusting animals.
Our case study explores the rapid demand for animal chiropractic versus antiquated or nonexistent laws and the abuse chiropractors have suffered as a result.
Read more here.
Meanwhile, an animal chiropractic hearing date for a bill to introduce a law protecting chiropractors will go to the California Senate on April 28. OneChiropratic’s Bharon Hoag and the Chiropractic Defense Council will be there.
OneChiropractic and the Chiropractic Defense Council are working with 12 states to improve laws for chiropractors adjusting animals. These include:
- California
- Texas
- Tennessee
- Pennsylvania
- Kentucky
- Michigan
- Maine
- Georgia
- North Carolina
- Florida
- New Hampshire
- Washington
And finally, in one of his latest updates on the OneChiropractic YouTube channel, Bharon explains that:
“Everybody agrees it is not OK for chiropractors to be regulated by anybody other than the chiropractic board. That’s the most significant issue and the movement we’re trying to create. In the states that do have language, most have the language under the vet side; it’s under the vet board. That’s not OK. It wouldn’t be OK for us to regulate veterinarians, so we can’t have them doing it. All we want to do is adjust. We’re not looking to treat or get into other modalities or services that have nothing to do with what we’re about in this particular action.
“We are trying to ensure that certified chiropractors can have direct access to see these animals and make sure that the language is under the chiropractic section of the code so that we can empower the chiropractic board to go after these unlicensed people calling themselves animal chiropractors.
There are so many elements to this movement. It’s not just about access. Those are part of it, but I’m more concerned about it being under the chiropractic board and making sure that it is empowered to go after people calling themselves animal chiropractors that are not vets or chiropractors.”

Canada
We have been working for the past couple of years to reverse the X-ray policy in British Columbia. If the new college does not remove the policy, we will ask for a judicial review. No other country has this policy, which removes clinicians’ ability to decide whether to use a diagnostic tool.
We will not stop until this policy is corrected.
This is not even a chiropractic issue; it’s a healthcare issue. It’s not going to stand.
British Columbia is now the battleground for the country and the world regarding Bill 36, which threatens the core of chiropractic care with severe penalties, including practice closures, fines up to $200,000, and up to two years in jail for non-compliance.
We need to work together to get this done. Our best strategy is to be ready when the college tries to enforce it. Once they try to enforce it, we will kill it.
In Quebec the college is targeting chiropractic techniques, specifically kinesiology. We’ve been working with several chiropractors in Quebec who are reaching out to resolve these issues.
We’re also investigating cases where the college conducts phantom visits, sends in patients, constructs issues, and is a nuisance.
We are concerned about talk of Quebec following suit with British Colombia in terms of amalgamating or creating new laws.
We are working to limit the college’s ability to drown you in penalties and cost awards.
Australia
We need more support for Operation Free Speech in Australia, where we are trying to encourage chiropractors to tell the story of chiropractic in their communities. We have provided vetted information that you can use for free. [WHERE CAN THEY FIND THIS INFORMATION?]
Regarding the pediatric policy, health ministers are not rushing to get to the case. Our attorneys are writing to ask what’s going on. We expect to get a response that will help the ACA continue its efforts.
US
Bharon gives an update on animal chiropractic across the US, OneChiropractic and the Chiropractic Defense Council are working with state associations to ensure language in the law is appropriately used to protect chiropractors who adjust animals. If you want to keep abreast of this fight, please visit defendchiropractic.org and register for updates.
Bharon gives an update on Operation Backbone (see story above/below). For more information, visit operationbackbone.com.
Lastly, we are working on third-party insurance issues with state associations and the Chiropractic Future Strategic Plan to defend chiropractors’ rights regarding third-party reimbursement.
What ELSE Have We Been Up To?
You might have noticed the addition of case studies to the OneChiropractic website. Now, we have a place to tell you where and how your contributions are being used in the fight for chiropractic freedoms worldwide.
We are making waves from BC, Canada, to Tasmania, Australia, and throughout the US. Still, we continue to need your help. If we do not stand up for the rights of our profession, tyranny will spread to all our doors, and we cannot; we will not allow that to happen. Read on HERE.
“We need more people on board with OneChiropractic.
“If we can unite more, we can fight attacks on our freedom.
“We need more people to fight, or we will lose our rights.
“People turn a blind eye when situations don’t affect them. But if they take this right from one person, they will take it from more.” – Dr. Brett Crawford has been a chiropractor in Tasmania for more than 14 years and trained at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa, USA.
Introducing:
Operation Backbone
In February, we launched an exciting new initiative to support America’s heroes.
Operation Backbone will help ensure Chiropractic has its rightful place in the nation’s military healthcare by providing resources and information, assisting chiropractors in accessing the information, and providing the best care for our heroes.
OneChiropractic founder and CEO Bharon Hoag said, “Operation Backbone is a small part of the more significant issue that OneChiropractic is working on, and that is getting chiropractors recognized as officers in the military.
“Currently, there are no active-service chiropractors in any military branch,” he said.
“This is not because chiropractors are unwilling to serve in this capacity but because the military does not allow chiropractors to serve.”
Active-duty service men and women do not have chiropractic coverage unless referred by a VA hospital. Most follow the allopathic model.
OperationBackbone.com is a free resource that helps chiropractors access information and resources that will help them care for veterans and the military. Information ranges from connecting with military groups to answering questions about correctly billing the VA for services.
Health Missions, our 501(c3), builds on the success of the May trip to Colombia with the announcement of 2025 missions.
HEALTH MISSIONS
Our next Health Missions trip is to Colombia from May 10 to 16. Last year, Health Missions founder and AlignLife CEO Dr. Joseph Esposito was among 11 who traveled to the country, including six chiropractors from across the US. Colombia 2024 was the fourth Health Missions trip but the first for One Chiropractic. “You return from a mission trip like that changed. To make a real impact on the lives of people who would otherwise never experience the benefits of Chiropractic. We know that we can help patients live healthy lives through Chiropractic, and it is so awesome to see that in action in some of the most remote places in the world,” said Dr. Esposito.
Registration for the May trip to Colombia is still open. If you are interested, find out more here: https://healthmissions.net/mission-trips/ and if you have any questions, email [email protected]
NEW TO HEALTH MISSIONS, we offer groups of chiropractors to take their people on a Health Missions trip. If your group is interested in taking on Colombia or another location, please get in touch!
Health Missions
Health Missions was established by AlignLife founder Dr. Joseph Esposito and his sister, Dr. Cristina Esposito, in 2004 in memory of their father. Health Missions became a OneChiropractic project in 2021.
Colombia was the fourth trip for Health Missions but the first for OneChiropractic. Health Missions has also served communities in South Africa, Mexico, and Ecuador.
The 501(c3) sent a group of 11, including six chiropractors from Illinois, Puerto Rico, Michigan, Florida, and Missouri to Colombia in May. The six chiropractors treated more than 200 individuals during the trip.
Health Missions will travel to Colombia from March 30 to April 5 in 2025 to further build a foundation for chiropractic growth. There is a mission trip to Peru from May 5 to May 11 next year. For more information about Health Missions, visit onechiropractic.org/health-missions/

The Chiropractic Defense Council Presents: The State of Chiropractic Podcast!
When YOU are ONE, we are 10,000
10,000 chiropractors moving in one direction makes for an unstoppable force.
This statement captures the essence of our collective strength.
Currently, only 1% of chiropractors are actively engaged with OneChiropractic, which champions legal and policy initiatives crucial to protecting the profession from overreach, censorship, and severe penalties that impede your ability to care for patients.
Localized issues can quickly become global threats, affecting chiropractors everywhere—from restricted x-ray access in British Columbia to censorship issues in Australia. These precedents influence the entire profession.
OneChiropractic serves as your steadfast protector, tirelessly advocating on your behalf. Your support, through a modest contribution of just $33 a month, empowers us to continue this vital work, allowing you to concentrate on patient care.
With rising legal costs and pending cases, the need for support has never been more urgent. We defend your right to provide chiropractic care, and together… we can be an unstoppable force.
