Update United States 06-13-22
Lots of great conversations have happened this past week in the United States, as we’re continuing to dig into what’s happening around the world, as well as how that impacts us here in the US. So great stuff for you today. So good morning, American chiropractors, my name is Bharon Hoag. I am the Executive Director of OneChiropractic and The Chiropractic Defense Council coming to you today, Monday, June 13th, 2022 for your weekly update. Well, first of all, I’m coming to you from Burbank, California. I was honored enough to be on the stage for Chiropractic Rockstars, Dr. Adam Del Toto’s event that he puts on every year. What a great event if you haven’t considered it, I recommend you do that every year. The event was really just designed to celebrate chiropractic. So all of the speakers were here from a high energy standpoint, really recharging individuals.
I had the honor of being on that stage and kind of pouring my heart out to individuals. But one of the things I wanted to share with you today from this trip was just the interaction with other individuals, understanding the bigness of what we’re trying to do with The Chiropractic Defense Council. I always love getting on a new stage that hasn’t heard of what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. And then to get people to understand the big picture behind what’s happening. And I’ve been hitting you up the last few weeks by sharing with you the big vision of what we’re trying to do to create infrastructure for our profession, to really realign and bring people together to work for a very pure objective. And this isn’t about vitalistic versus mechanistic. This is about making sure that our profession has the foundation, that it needs to be able to move into the next generation that we’re moving into.
Healthcare is in flux right now. They’re redefining how they want to move forward. And it’s a prime opportunity for our profession to step up and start telling the truth about who we are and what we do in the impact that we can have on the health system as a whole. And so it was very fun for me to sit in the room with people and have that discussion and share with them the vision that we have here at OneChiropractic and The Chiropractic Defense Council. So I just wanted to take a minute to thank Adam, for his work, and I know what it is to put an event on it’s not easy at all. And it was just a great opportunity to fellowship with chiropractors again this past weekend. So now as that stated, we were having a lot of great conversations as we’re digging into The World Health Organization, digging into CCE, digging into the schools, digging in to really where this, this kind of breakdown has happened within our profession, where we’re not producing and communicating on the higher level. I do want to share with you as well, that I am in communication with individuals that are a part of the chiropractic strategic plan. I’ve shared with you before that I am a fan of that objective, that organization working together to put an actual plan together for the profession of chiropractic. And I believe in the individuals that are spearheading this particular effort and the CDC is going to participate.
OneChiropractors is going to participate as necessary. And we’re monitoring the decisions and the infrastructure that they’re putting forward, but our goal, we believe that is a good step in the right direction to make sure that we’re all working together for a common good. So as I gain more information on what’s going on with the strategic plan, I will do the same thing. I will update you so that you understand from the field perspective, but we are encouraged by that behavior. And we’re going to continue to contribute as necessary there. Now, as far as The World Health Organization, I told you last week that we’ve done our due diligence on that. Now we’re working with The World Federation of Chiropractic. We’re trying to understand their relationship with the WHO. These types of issues are not going away. And we want to make sure that people are doing their job, and I’m not pointing fingers, not making accusations.
I do know the new president of the WFC that just got inducted and you know, so I have a history with Dr. Maltby. And so we’ll be talking to understand a little bit more about how that infrastructure works, where the CDC can help and support, or if there are issues there, how we can make sure that our profession is protected moving forward. So lots of great things are going on we’re working to make sure that you are protected not only today but in the future. So the last thing I want to share with you today, and this update is we’re going to be starting a new kind of feature. If you will, to these Monday videos, I love the emails I get from you. You guys have been sending me a lot of great stuff as I’ve been sharing with you, the areas that we’re targeting.
I want to start answering specific questions. And so I’m going to encourage you if you have questions that you want to be answered, we do have access to our legal teams and we’ll do that. So I’m going to pick one question each week that I’m going to be reading and answering. So if you send them in, I’ll look through them, pick one of them, and then answer it. So this way you guys can stay plugged in now and see what question is being asked. And if it’s your question, we’ll be able to keep everyone updated. So this week I’ve taken a question from Dr. Stevenson. I think Dr. Stevenson is in Arkansas. And so he was asking me that although the United States doesn’t seem to be having issues with mandates right now, do we believe there is going to be a new wave in the coming future?
So that’s a good question. And I’m happy to answer that because we do believe something else is coming. Whether they’re already starting to talk about monkeypox and they’re talking about different things of that nature. And this past Friday, we saw the Biden administration say that they’re removing the negative COVID test required to get back in the United States. So we’re seeing like little things waving, but there’s no way. I don’t remember who gave me this quote, but it was a phenomenal quote, no time in history has the government ever relinquished a new power that it’s obtained. And I don’t believe that people are going to relinquish this authority that they have started to claim. And the United States we’re in a much better position than other countries, but still, there is going to be a new wave they’re not done with whatever it is that they’re planning to do with these objectives.
So do I think that the COVID stuff is going to rear back up? No, I don’t. Even if they tried, I don’t think the general population’s going to allow it after all the evidence that’s coming out now about the Pfizer vaccine and knowing that the vaccines weren’t as effective as they claimed they would be all the data that out now make it hard for them to dip back in that pool. But I do believe we’re going to see something else. I do believe that they’ve realized this pandemic idea is something that can create mass hysteria very quickly, and people will fall in line. That’s why we saw the stuff we did with The World Health Organization. So I think something more is coming. That’s why it’s so important for us right now to build, to continue to grow our infrastructure, to grow our knowledge of what’s happening around the rest of the world.
And that’s a unique advantage that the CDC has, is working in so many different countries, learning what’s happening, the conversations that are happening, and making sure that we’re prepared for the next wave here in the United States. So yeah, hopefully, that answers your question, Dr. Stevenson, I appreciate you emailing me, and sending your questions in each week. I will be picking one to read as we continue to move forward.
