Update New Zealand 05-16-22
Things keep shaking down in New Zealand, as we’re learning more about the other organizations that are coming together, we’re learning more about the appeals on the different lawsuits, and we’re starting to see different activities from the Ministry. Today I want to keep giving you that vote of confidence, that encouragement to continue to move. So please make sure you watch today’s video all the way to the end. Good morning, New Zealand chiropractors and allied health professionals. My name is Bharon Hoag. I am the Executive Director of OneChiropractic and The Chiropractic Defense Council coming to you today, Monday, May 16th, 2022 for your weekly update. So I’ve been getting a good amount of emails. A number of you, I think, are still getting these random emails from The Ministry. I want to remind you if you get an email from them, just completely ignore it, don’t even acknowledge it at all.
Then I want you to just continue to do business as usual. If you remember for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been sharing with you that there’s really no bite in their bark. They’re sending letters, they’re doing things, but no one’s paid a fine. I know in the news we had two chiropractors. I know, I got a ton of emails on that as well. I want you guys to understand this is part of their plan. It’s very easy to use the media to try to drive fear. None of this is surprising. We’re communicating with both of the chiropractors that are part of that. Our legal team is working with them. We’re going to continue to, to direct them and they’re not going to pay those fines. And they’re still operating from my understanding.
Again, do not fall prey to their biggest weapon, which is propaganda. We’re still fighting hard. We’re working with these other organizations. We’re learning more. I’m going to have a meeting with our team this week to get an update on exactly where we’re at with the appeals. There are appeals on the lawsuit that had to deal with health workers and their mandates.
So lots of stuff going on, we’re still digging. I need you guys to keep loving and serving. I know that’s easy for me to say, I know I’m not threatened with that on the daily of someone coming into your office or complaints or anything of that nature. So I understand that reality. I don’t mean to minimize it, but the best weapon we have is civil disobedience, is to just keep operating, keep educating our people, keep loving and serving, keep telling the truth about healthcare and not letting them rob us from that joy or that freedom.
And I promise you, we will be behind you. If we thought that there was really someone coming in and going to steal you out of your house, cuff you and throw you in jail, then I wouldn’t have that advice, but that is not happening anywhere across New Zealand. So we need you to hold strong. We are stronger than they are if we band together and keep operating. So just know we’re there. We’re watching. We have great support working with the association, working with a number of doctors and then our legal team as well. So hold on, strong, keep fighting. We are near the end of this. This is their last ditch effort to hold onto some type of control here and we need to continue to push forward.
So we love you. We appreciate you. Please, I hope you understand that. My words are not just flipped and I don’t mean them. You know, haphazardly as I’m sitting in the United States, my heart breaks every day for the realities of what’s going on around the world because of this lunacy. I just need you to know that it touches me. I deal with it every day when I wake up and go to bed. So when I tell you to hold on, it’s because I’m holding on with you and I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is and make sure that we defend you so that you have that freedom. So with that, have an amazing week.
That’s a lot of heavy stuff there. I don’t want to leave you with that. I want to leave you with having an incredible week, remembering the truth of what we do every day, what a blessing to be able to love and serve our community with the capacities in which we serve and that we can’t lose touch of that. And we need to know that our purpose is bigger than ourselves. It’s bigger than the individual patient. It’s the ability for us to actually impact and change the world around us. And I thank those of you that have stood strong and done that those of you that are opening back up and you’re having the faith to move forward. God bless all of you.
