Hey everybody a lot going on this week, we have so much to share with you, things are happening in Australia, and outside of Australia. How this narrative is really starting to break down, and why it applies and matters to you. Please pay attention to everything we’re sharing with you today. So good morning, to our Australian chiropractors and allied health professionals. My name is Bharon Hoag The Executive Director of OneChiropractic and The Chiropractic Defense Council coming to you today, March 7th,2022 for your weekly update. There is lots going on specifically in your neck of the woods. We had a big victory in Queensland where the gold coast council mandates were DEFEATED in court by The Pro-Choice Alliance. We also are seeing that the police and South Australia, have dropped their main mandate prior to going to that suit. We’re starting to see things happen. We’re starting to see the narrative flipping not only in Australia, but in the rest of the world.
I think I shared with you the beginning of last week, a pivotal case that won in New Zealand for their police and military stating that the mandates were actually a of their bill of rights. So this is starting to happen. And we are, and we’re excited that all that’s happening because our lawsuit should be filed this week. Um, in Queensland, that’s going to be affecting this state of emergency. We know in Queensland as well, that I’ve had a lot of people emailing me about your particular directive expiring on the 17th, and what should we do? The there’s, there’s a lot of things that are really liquid and fluid at this moment that we’re trying to get the data, the information, um, we, we have seen an uptick on complaints or officer visits, but we’re still winning. We’re not having anyone getting fined. We’re not having anyone shut down that we’re being notified of.
So we’re really starting to see this all the though, they’re starting to pick up in certain areas. They’re also starting to break down in others. And we think that it’s gonna be just a short matter of time before these things are lifted. So we need you guys to continue to push forward. We need you to continue to hold strong trust in our process of what we’re doing, the way that we’re defending you and the, the pressure that we’re gonna be putting on the government here with this suit here very shortly. So we believe that a lot of this is gonna start falling apart. Now, I want you to also understand why our lawsuit is so important because I’m gonna need your guys’ help as positive as I’m speaking. And as much as we’re seeing the narrative change, we can’t just let this fall away on their terms.
We have to put the nail in the coffin. So we’re doubling down with our lawsuit. We we’re just sending over even more money, um, to go after this thing and we need your help. We need you spreading the word. This is gonna get very expensive. We’ve already spent over $300,000, um, fighting these things. And we, we just committed to another 200. So I, I need your help. I, I love the support you guys have given to this point, but between the money we’re spending to defend you and the cases, uh, when you have complaints or visits and then the money we’re spending to proactively put the nail in the coffin so that Australia can never do anything like this.
Again, it’s, it’s just getting expensive. So I’m asking you guys to consider spreading the word even more to your colleagues. We’ve proven we have all of the data to show that the work that’s been happening is effective and working, but we need to kick it up a little bit as we’re, we’re just spending a lot of money, um, in Australia. So, and we’re not really quite bringing in enough from Australia to cover or what we’re we’re spending, which is fine because that’s how we built this thing. But, um, at the same time, we need some people to help us spread the word. I’m not asking you in another yourself to do more, but I am asking you, if you can do a one time gift to, to send in, we would appreciate that we’re gonna be doing a zoom call. Uh, hopefully this week with our legal team, once this suit is filed to explain exactly the process of what’s happening, what it means to you.
And we’ll use that as kind of a, a, a, a fundraising drive as well, to help cover the cost of what we’re doing. But it’s very important. It’s bigger than just making the mandate go away. This is about ensuring that the government never does anything like this, again, that they never erroneously just start making claims that they can’t support our suit. It’s very specific about why they did what they did and making sure that it never happens again and creating precedent within the court that doesn’t allow them to do it again. So please don’t put, sit back and say, great, we’re starting to see these wins. We, we can’t just let them drop it on their own accord because it opens it up for them to do it again. And we’re committed to staying in Australia, making that your rights are protected not only today, but in the future.
So I’m asking for your help, um, be looking for that zoom link as we, uh, put that together, we’re just waiting until it actually gets introduced so that we can speak a little bit more freely about what we’re doing, um, because it’ll be public record at that point. So just know that that’s happening should be happening this week. Um, what we wanted to keep you guys abreast of what’s happening. So keep plugging forward, know that we’re doing a ton of work. We’re, we’re working as extensively as we can on your behalf to make sure that your rights are protected, that you can continue to practice with the right to choose and that your countrymen and women have access to your care.
